To maintain a sense of morality in an inherently coercive environment is no easy task, yet a strong set of individual ethics is probably the best defense against being changed by the negative environment of the prison.

3) What is your moral judgment of the CO’s involved in this tragic case? Are there other key players who are responsible for Ashley Smith’s death? Explain.
