I recently had a patient in my clinic that had a stroke. His right side was effected and he is unable to use the right side of his body. He went to rehab then family wished to take him home. The supplies and therapies needed was great but he was able to come home. The support I was able to give him and his wife during this transition was much needed and appreciated. PT, OT, and speech therapy set up in the home. Hospital bed, lifts, shower chairs, shower bars and home health. The support that was given assisted in them being able to get him home and be with his family. Emotional support and encouragement though the process was very important to the wife. Thanks for the post.
