paper (not including title or reference pages) discussing each part 1- 4 in detail.
Part One: For the first part of this assignment please discuss each of the influences
provided below and how they affect social interaction in an interpersonal (personal
relationship) and group setting:
1. Situational Influences
2. Psychological Influences
3. Social Influences
Part Two: The second part of this assignment will require your paper to discuss in detail
each of the three types of social influences and how each type can affect an individual’s
behavior in a social setting.
1. Conformity which involves a change in a person’s attitudes or behavior in
response to (often implicit) pressure from others.
2. Compliance which involves going along with explicit requests made by others.
3. Obedience which involves giving in to the commands of an authority.
Part Three: The third part of this assignment will require your paper to discuss in detail
how social interaction is the primary influence on, or determinants of, behavior? In
addition, how do the actions of other people influence an individual’s behavior both
positive and negatively.
Part Four: The fourth part of this assignment will require that your paper discuss and
apply Impression Management theory to the topic of social influences on behavior.
According to the theory, how do the actions of other people influence an individual’s
behavior? Additionally, what are the theory’s major strengths and weaknesses?

points.
Grading Rubric Scoring Part One: The first part of the assignment discusses each of
the influences and how each affect social interaction in an interpersonal (personal
relationship) and group setting (20 points max)

Grading Rubric Scoring Part Two: The second part of the assignment discusses

The paper also discusses and explains (using the theory), how the actions of other
people influence an individual’s behavior, and the paper also discusses and explains the
strengths and weaknesses of the theory (30 points max)
